Cipro
Posted on 24 March 2003
I'm not sure if this is encouraging or discouraging to those recently floxed, but after 4 years I am almost well again. As long as I follow a low salt, no chicken diet and take vitamins and minerals.

The only time I have problems is when I do something physical that strains my knees and achilles tendons.(like a lot of walking) Then they swell and are sore but respond to ice and rest. The pain in my shoulders, elbows and thumbs is nearly gone now.

I believe that I have probably recovered from the injury caused by the Cipro to my joints about as much as I ever will and that I will have to be careful about putting a strain on these joints from now on. It has been a big change in my life and prevents me from doing the kind of work I had done all my life. Can't be on my feet all day long without pain and swelling in knees. Why can't this be considered a permanent injury in terms of a legal remedy? Maybe because I can't prove the cause was Cipro without a doctor's say so.

Anyway, there is hope that all of us will eventually recover to a large extent. Wishing you well. Linda D.
