Levaquin
Posted on 13 November 2001
Me too! I took Levaquin in 1998 and had the typical joint/muscle pain, rashes reported by others. NOW, I too have developed this pain in my heels, mostly on the right side, that will travel up to my ankle and knees in varying degrees. The strangest thing about it is the pain is at its worst in the morning after NOT being on my feet. bchoi1 - would you please tell me about your symptom history from the beginning?

Another strange thing, earlier this year, I developed neuropathy just under the right collarbone. It was excruciating. Then I broke out in that same area with a rash that the doctors thought was shingles, EXCEPT that shingles NEVER travels bilaterally (both sides) like mine did. My doctors are stumped. I am a weird case for sure.

I think some of us are suffering from myelitis that cannot be seen on an MRI. Myelitiis is usually severe with inflammation of nerves and the spinal cord. I cannot guess why some have cycling. My diagnosis of MS can explain it for me - but I haven't quite bought that diagnosis.

How many of you have had an MRI of the brain and/or spinal cord? I'd be interested in any other unusual lab reports. My albumin levels (protein) are low and my IgG is low (something to do sith immunity) but not low enough to cause any greal alarm.

Nothing explains the continuing cycling joint pain. I've had thousands of dollars of tests in the rheumatology area. Karen
