Cipro
Posted on 22 September 2002
I seem to be on the worse end of this stuff. I took cipro and vioxx (an NSAID) together for 6 weeks. At the end of the 5 week corse my ears began rining. Next was panick attacks and unbeaable anxiety that has never let up. Insomnia - I've gone 4 nights without sleep at times. I cry almost all the time - and ending my life is on my mid constantly.

I have a wife and a 6 year old. We had to move in with my mother because I can't work anymore. This April my disability will be up and I will have no job, no income, no benefits. I've been in my current job 20 years and it breaks my heart to lose my job.

But the worse is the CONSTANT HELL I live in. I've been to all the doctors - they won't even admit this could be cipro/vioxx this far along. I take 5 ativan per day, 500 mg of seroquil and 12 mg of gabitril. I've tried to get off benzos once and almost went crazy.

I want to go into a medcially induced coma to turn my brain off and get some rest. The couple of doctors I have spoken to about it said it was too risky - too risky? I will tell you what is too risky, allowing me to remain concious - I'm not kidding, I really want to end my life. I get NO relief and battle benzo withdrawel between doses everyday. I am bedridden and have periods where I scream and cry so hard I start gagging.

Can ANYONE point me to the type of doctor that could put me out for a couple of months? I know they do it for brain injuries - well I HAVE a brain injury. I would even like them to wean me off the benzos while in a coma - so they would be out of my system when I am taken out.

I AM NOT KIDDING ABOUT THIS - IT REALLY IS THAT BAD. I've been sick for 4 months with barely ANY relief.

I take all the natural things as well, magnesium, calcium, b complex - I really have not noticed any difference.

I'm a hard case because VIOXX was involved in this - it's not just cipro.

If anyone has any info on what kind of doctor does comas, please let me know. I fear it will be a medically induced coma, or a personally induced death.... Please don't try and talk me out of it (medically indcuded coma) as a reply - I cannot stand this pain any longer and I must be unconscious...
