Subject: Fatigue
Does anyone have any suggestions for supplements to help with fatigue?
I had
poor energy before taking levaquin and it's much worse now, to the
point of
being overwhelming.
I'm finding some relief from joint pain with the calcium/magnesium
I've been
taking, but this fatigue is really taking a toll. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Luana

Subject: Re: My Story Please Help or advise
Hi,
Why would they give you "antibiotics" for flu? I've had tremors
(jerky hand movements) since mid October - from another
fluoroquinolone. For details, and so that I don't bore everyone who
has already read my story, please see my message 17700. No chest
discomfort for me, but anxiety.

I am 33 years old male and had the flu at Christmas time. I was
put
on
Zithromax or somthing like that and took three of the pills before
they decided to put me on Avelox instead. I took the first Avelox
on
Saturday night and Sunday night the second one. By midnight Sunday
I
was in the ER with what I felt like was Chest discomfort and weird
tremors in my arms that no one could see. I also have some jerky
movement in my arm and hand movements as well. Most wouldnt notice
them but I work with my hands all day so I do. I had blood work
done
twice now, EKG, Echocardiogram, and multiple visits to doctors. I
still have sinus infection and chest cough. Since the two pills of
Avelox between Christmas and New Years, I have been on 10 days of
Levaquin and now SMP /TMZ which I see also has problems. I have
been
on heavy antibotics over the last two years for sinus problems and
wonder if this could be because of all this or just a reaction to
Avelox or not related at all. Seems strange that this just started
with a bang as I started the new medication. My doctor of course
thinks I am nuts or that its something else entirely. ANyone have
similar problems? Its been about a month now. One day it didnt
seem
as bad for about an hour but I can imagine what was different that
day.
thanks to all and god bless
dan

Subject: Re: Levaquin - Epididymitis, Prostatitis
Hi John,
I'm a 40 year old male and took antibiotics/quinolones for close to 2
years for prostatitis. I can't begin to tell you the problems I have.
It's devastating. From what I can tell there are about 4-5 of us
posting who have prostate problems. Maybe the more we discuss this,
more men with these problems (who have not posted yet) will post and
give us more info. Thank you for your post.

I was prescribed 500mg levaquin once daily for 7 days for

he prescribed 14 days of levaquin because I still had some
tenderness. I reluctantly took it the second time and had Tinnitus,
Sleeplessness, and some Joint or Muscle pain and some
Lightheadedness. I went back to the uro last week for a Cystoscopy
and he said I had some slight prostatis and prescribed 21 days of
levaquin 500mg plus 2 for the procedure. This is without
determining
if an infection is still present. I took 3 and experienced lower
right side Abdominal Pain so I stopped it yesterday and drank alot
of
water. I'm feeling somewhat better today. I'm worried about
becoming
Resistant to the Antibiotic as well.
