INTRODUCTION TO THE FQ RESEARCH WEB PAGES

Let me be amongst the first to welcome you to our nightmare.  The FQ Research web pages are the
result of eight years of research into the non abating adverse drug reactions to the fluoroquinolones.
As well as the total and complete failure of the FDA to protect the health and well being of the patients
who are prescribed these drugs.

The Research Site consist of thousands of web pages grouped by category dealing with this subject.
We have tried to make the navigation of these pages as intuitive as possible.  A lot of the information
found on the site is quite complex and not easily understood by the lay person or someone lacking
in medical training.  However you will find a tremendous amount of information that is also written in
plain English as well.  So do not let the more technical articles discourage your browsing of the site.

The home page is your portal to these various pages.  Any number of subjects are grouped together
in three main scrolling windows.  The first window deals with the basic background information regarding
the various issues that deal with the adverse reactions to the fluoroquinolones.  Any number of the articles
found there may contain treatment suggestions  Please keep in mind that we are not medical doctors but
researchers, hence we do not offer any medical advice.  Any suggested treatments made by others as
found within the post marketing reports should be evaluated by your physician to determine whether or
not such suggestions are appropriate given your particular situation.

The second scrolling window deals with specific adverse reactions.  As the adverse reactions to the
fluoroquinolones mimic serious medical conditions it may become necessary for your physician
to rule out other possible causes for these conditions.  The reactions listed there are far from being
an all inclusive list of the hundreds of adverse reactions associated with fluoroquinolone therapy, but
the listings found there are the most common as well as the most serious reactions.

The third scrolling window deals with recent events concerning the fluoroquinolones as well as a
listing of the drugs within this class that have been withdrawn, banned, or otherwise restricted due
to severe adverse reactions.  We have designed the site so that each page opens in a separate
browser window rather than overwriting the source window.  This will allow you to easily navigate
between links without closing windows you may wish to refer to again.

At the very top of the home page you will find a series of drop down menu items which provide an
alternative way to gain access to the more popular pages.  If you do not see the drop down menus
on your computer you may not have java scripting enabled.  This is required for the drop down menus
to be functional and visible.

On the homepage, to the left, you will find a series of hot button links that allow access to additional links
and items of interest.  You will also find at the top of the home page links to the more common adverse
events.  There are also three smaller scrolling windows which again contain various links to the research
grouped by three major topics.  Drugs, Research, and References.  Currently we are changing the pages
that contain the actual research to make them more printer friendly.  You may copy any research page
directly to your computer by simply right clicking on the links and selecting "save as".

Hopefully this information will make your visit more productive and less of a hassle.  It is important
that your screen size be set to 1024 x 768 and that you have Jave Scripting enabled.  We have tried to
make the site compatible with most operating systems but due to the various ways that different browsers
format sites created using Microsoft FrontPage you may find some distortions in the manner in which
the pages are displayed.  We recommend that you use Internet Explorer as the browser used to
view this site.  This site is not compatible with Netscape Navigator.

Please take a moment to report any broken links to fqresearch@aol.com. so that steps can be taken
to make the necessary repairs.
